The CD-A750 pairs a CD player with an auto-reverse cassette deck in one rack unit. The CD section plays CD-DA discs, including CD-R and CD-RW, as well as MP3 and WAV files. It shows CD Text and ID3 tag information and offers Auto Cue, Auto Ready, Cue Call and Incremental Play. A shock-proof memory buffers CD playback. It uses a TEAC CD-5020A drive mechanism with a drawer-type loader.
The cassette section records and plays back in both directions, with Dolby B noise reduction and a REC mute function. It handles normal and chrome tapes and plays metal tapes. CD and cassette each have pitch control, and the machine supports CD-to-tape dubbing with edit dubbing, continuous CD-to-tape play, mono mix and return-to-zero.
For installations, the unit has power-on play and power-on record (tape only). Control options are a DB-25 parallel interface, RS-232C serial control, a wired remote and a 55-key wireless remote. Audio connects through RCA and XLR inputs and outputs for both CD and tape, a selectable common output and a coaxial digital output for the CD. The model has been discontinued.
