BigSky is a stereo reverb pedal built around twelve reverb machines: Room, Hall, Plate, Spring, Swell, Bloom, Cloud, Chorale, Shimmer, Magneto, Nonlinear and Reflections. Seven front-panel knobs cover Decay, Pre-Delay, Mix, Tone and Mod, plus two Param knobs that can be assigned to any menu parameter for the selected machine and saved per preset. A display shows decay time, preset name or bank number.
Up to 300 named presets can be stored and recalled using the three footswitches or MIDI. Holding a footswitch triggers Infinite Sustain or Freeze, chosen per preset. Spillover lets a reverb tail carry over into the next preset, and Reverb Persist keeps the tail going after bypass. A selectable Cab Filter applies a speaker-style response for use with a PA, direct recording or headphones.
The dry signal stays analog and is mixed with the wet signal in the analog domain. Connections are stereo inputs and outputs, an expression pedal input that can also serve as an external tap switch, and MIDI in and out. Presets can be backed up to a computer through a MIDI-to-USB adapter and the Librarian software. Bypass is either true bypass by relay or buffered analog bypass.
