Module8
Module8 is a modulation FX rack plug-in from SSL with six modulation effects and two creative FX returns. It is aimed at producers, sound designers and engineers who want to add texture, depth and movement to mixes.

Module8 combines six LFO-driven modulation effects (Phaser, Flanger, Chorus, Tremolo, Vibrato and Pan) with two creative FX returns, Lo-Fi and Space, in a single rack-style plug-in. The modules can be reordered by drag and drop, and global mix and width controls shape the overall result.
Each modulation module works in a different way. The Phaser uses all-pass filters to sweep peaks and troughs through the spectrum, and the Flanger mixes the signal with a modulated delayed copy to create comb filtering. The Chorus duplicates the input and modulates the pitch of the copies, the Tremolo varies amplitude, the Vibrato varies pitch, and the Pan module moves the signal across the stereo field. LFOs offer five shapes, with sync and manual options, and a large set of presets is included.
The plug-in is installed through the SSL Download Manager and is authorised through an iLok account. A 14-day free trial can be started from within the DAW, and a user guide is available as a download.
