The MXA901 is a low-profile ceiling array microphone that captures speech from seated participants without a complicated setup. Its single automatic coverage zone works out of the box for areas up to 20 ft x 20 ft (6 m x 6 m) and can be resized down to 10 ft x 10 ft, or anywhere in between, to match the seating layout and limit pickup in unwanted areas.
Onboard DSP provides automatic mixing, acoustic echo cancellation, noise reduction and automatic gain control. For more control, a steerable coverage mode offers up to eight independent lobes, and direct outputs support voice lift and custom routing. In rooms with several units, an Optimize Tracking function improves talker-location accuracy for camera tracking, and command strings allow integration with third-party cameras and room control systems.
The unit is certified for Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms and can be paired with the IntelliMix Foundation System. It supports 802.1x, secure boot and storage, and AES encryption of control and audio data, and can be managed remotely through ShureCloud. An LED status bar has adjustable color and brightness.
