The XSW 2-865 is a complete wireless vocal package. It pairs the SKM 865-XSW handheld transmitter, which uses a super-cardioid condenser capsule, with the EM-XSW 2 receiver. The receiver is a true diversity design in a metal housing with external antennas, and an LCD display gives access to manual settings.
The system is fully tunable across a wide UHF range with up to 12 compatible channels. Automatic frequency management and synchronization over a remote channel simplify setup. Squelch can be switched between 3 dBμV and 28 dBμV using a pilot tone, and the line/mic level can be switched by 20 dB. A transmitter battery life of about 10 hours is stated.
On the receiver, audio is delivered through a 6.3 mm unbalanced jack and a balanced XLR output. A rackmount kit is supplied for rack installation. The box also contains a microphone clamp, power supply, two AA batteries, a pouch and a user manual.
