The QI65P is a 6.5-inch in-ceiling speaker for installing music into rooms without free-standing speakers. It has a 165 mm woofer and a 1-inch (25 mm) swivel tweeter. The high-frequency level can be changed by plus or minus 3 dB with a switch on the crossover. The enclosure is moisture proof and made from UL94 flame-retardant materials. It is sold as a single speaker.
The bezel and grille clip on magnetically, and the grille shape is tuned to keep the sound open while staying unobtrusive. Square and circular grilles are offered to suit the decor. The speaker needs a 203 mm cutout and is under 79 mm deep, so it fits in shallow ceiling voids.
Fitting uses four clamps that are tightened from the front. A cutter guide is supplied to mark the hole, and the speaker comes with an installation template and fitting instructions. Connection is through push-open speaker terminals that can be operated with one hand. Nominal impedance is 8 ohms and program power handling is 15-80 W.
