The Ci200RR-THX is an in-ceiling loudspeaker designed to serve as a left, centre or right channel in a custom home theatre. It uses a Uni-Q driver array in which a 38 mm tweeter voice coil is coupled to a vented aluminium dome with a tangerine waveguide, sitting at the centre of a 200 mm woofer. The woofer has a large magnet and a Z-flex surround.
The speaker belongs to the Ci-R Series, which draws on acoustic work from the maker's Reference range and on technology developed for in-wall and in-ceiling use. It carries THX certification and is intended for rooms of different sizes, including very large ones. Frequency response is 33 Hz to 28 kHz (±6 dB) in open-backed use, with 90 dB sensitivity, a 4 ohm nominal impedance and a 2.2 kHz crossover point.
Installation needs a 238 x 238 mm cut-out and 126.5 mm of mounting depth below the surface. It is a passive speaker connected to an external amplifier, which should deliver 10 to 190 W. Software resources for installers are available from the maker's Ci software download page.
