Pizza

Pizza is built around three internal oscillators: a Main Oscillator that can be phase modulated and wave folded, plus an Octave (sub) Oscillator and a Ratio Oscillator that act as modulators. Both modulators have a square-sine-saw wave shape control and can ring modulate the main oscillator. An FM Index crossfader selects how much phase modulation comes from the Ratio or the Octave oscillator, and an Index Mod attenuverter sets how far its CV input moves the index.

An assignable CTRL knob and CV input open up further parts of the oscillator core. They can be set to linear or exponential FM, octave, detune, modulator ratio selection, wave shaping, wave folding, ring modulation, a built-in bipolar VCA, a built-in attack-decay envelope or a second FM index. Because the oscillator is digital it needs no routine tuning: the Pitch knob works as octave transpose or detune, and a separate Tune mode handles semitone and fine adjustment.

Three outputs (Main, Pulse and Octave/OSC OUT) allow both additive-style patches from the wave-shaped main output and subtractive patches where the outputs are mixed into a filter. The V/OCT input calibrates from two notes (0 V and 2 V) and can be quantized, a Sync input resets all oscillators, and an EXT input accepts an external signal for phase modulation. Firmware is updated over micro USB, and a free VCV Rack version is available.
