DVS 401
A 4-inch coaxial two-way passive surface-mount loudspeaker with a built-in transformer, intended for background and foreground music and speech in restaurants, hotels, worship spaces and other commercial installations. It carries an IP64 rating and EN 54-24 and UL 1480 certifications.

The DVS 401 is a passive two-way loudspeaker that combines a 100 mm (4") polypropylene full-range driver with a 0.79" ferrofluid-cooled soft dome tweeter on the same axis. The cone is paper-based with a butyl rubber surround, and an aluminium mesh grille protects the drivers from dust. Frequency response is flat within ±3 dB from 80 Hz to 20 kHz, with 107° conical dispersion and a maximum SPL of 96 dB.
The enclosure is moulded from UV- and weather-resistant UL 94-V0 ABS in a semi-matt black finish. With an IP64 rating it suits indoor spaces with high dust or moisture, such as swimming pool areas, and outdoor locations with moderate weather. EN 54-24 certification covers use in fire detection and fire alarm systems, and UL 1480 certification covers fire-protected signalling.
A colour-matched steel mounting bracket is included, with finger-adjustable hardware at the top and bottom of the enclosure. Phoenix connectors are provided for the input and for the link output, so several units can be wired together.
