The SM39 is a headworn vocal microphone with a cardioid pickup pattern that concentrates on the voice and reduces background noise. Its off-axis rejection is stated as over 20 dB, which helps keep vocals clean on loud stages. A flexible boom lets the performer place the capsule precisely.
The frame is lightweight and ergonomic, with an adjustable fit intended to stay in place during energetic movement and long sets. A sweat-resistant coating and rugged construction are meant to hold up to demanding shows.
The microphone is designed to be used with Axient Digital and other Shure wireless systems. The listed model, SM39-TQG, ends in a TQG connector (TA4F, 4-pin mini, LEMO3) for bodypack transmitters. An indoor windscreen, an outdoor windscreen and a collar clip are supplied.
