Beskrivning
The SYSTEM-1 is a 4-voice synthesizer built around Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) modelling, which recreates analog circuits in detail. Its panel gives direct access to the oscillator, filter, amplifier, LFO, mixer and effects sections through knobs and sliders with LED indicators, so no menu diving is needed. The slim keyboard has 25 normal-sized keys without velocity sensitivity.
The sound engine offers oscillator waveforms with a Color control, cross and ring modulation, oscillator sync, a sub oscillator, white and pink noise, a low-pass filter in -12 dB and -24 dB slopes plus an independent high-pass filter, and onboard Tone, Crusher, delay and reverb effects. An arpeggiator with a Scatter jog dial adds 10 phrase variations with 10 depth stages. Firmware 1.20 added 64 user patch memories (8 banks of 8) and further waveforms for OSC 1 and OSC 2, such as Noise Saw, FM, Vowel and Logic Operation.
Under PLUG-OUT, the unit can host and control software recreations of classic Roland synths, such as the SH-101, without a computer. Connections include stereo outputs, headphones, MIDI In/Out, two pedal jacks, and a USB port carrying both audio and MIDI. It runs from an AC adaptor.
