The KH 310 II is a redesigned version of the KH 310 three-way nearfield monitor. It uses an 8 1/4" woofer, a 3" soft-dome midrange driver and a 1" tweeter in a sealed cabinet, driven by three Class D amplifiers with 525 W of total power. Compared with the original model, the maker states a 5 dB higher maximum SPL, lower distortion and free-field linearity within ±0.6 dB between 100 Hz and 10 kHz.
An integrated DSP provides crossover, delay, equalisation and linear-phase FIR correction, and it supports MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment for frequency and phase correction in the room. Three acoustic controls (bass, low-mid and treble) and four output level settings allow adaptation to the listening position. Network control is available through MA 1 software.
Connections are an analog XLR input and AES3id digital input and output on BNC connectors. The cabinet keeps the dimensions of the original KH 310, so it can replace existing installations. It works with Neumann KH subwoofers for stereo, multichannel and Dolby Atmos setups. This listing covers the R+L pair; left and right monitors are also sold individually.
