OctaLite
The OctaLite is a 16x12 USB audio interface and optical expander in a compact half-rack steel unit, with eight mic/line/instrument inputs and built-in DSP mixing. It suits studio, stage, streaming and mobile recording, and can add eight mic channels to another interface.

The OctaLite works as a USB-C class-compliant audio interface, a stand-alone mixer, or an eight-channel optical expander for another interface or mixer. It has eight combo XLR/TRS inputs for microphones, line sources and hi-Z guitars, each with independent preamp gain, a pad and switchable 48V phantom power. Outputs are a pair of balanced TRS line outs and a headphone output, and the OLED display gives metering for the analog I/O.
On-board DSP provides mixing and effects such as reverb, EQ and compression, controlled from the CueMix 5 app on Mac, Windows and iOS. Separate mixes can be built for the line outs, headphones and loopback channels. Loopback channels return computer output plus a mix of live inputs to the host for streaming and podcasting, with three virtual mix buses for alternate loopback mixes.
As an optical expander it can feed an UltraLite-mk5, 828, 16A or similar interface over ADAT or TOSLink, with a second optical output for channels 5-8 in SMUX mode. Two units can be joined side by side with an optional coupler kit, and Performer Lite production software is included.
