The Sixes are self-powered bookshelf speakers that combine a built-in phono preamp with several line and digital inputs, so a turntable, television, computer or phone can be connected without a separate amplifier. Each speaker pairs a 1-inch titanium-loaded tweeter on a Tractrix horn with a 6.5-inch woofer in a ported enclosure.
On the input side there is a pair of RCA inputs with a switch between phono level and line level, and the phono stage has a ground screw terminal for the turntable's ground wire. A 3.5mm mini jack line input, a digital optical input and a USB input for audio from a PC or Mac cover other sources. Bluetooth wireless connection is built in for phones and tablets.
A single RCA line-level output allows a subwoofer to be added to the system. The speakers belong to the Klipsch Heritage Wireless series.
