JBL Live Free 2 TWS

The Live Free 2 TWS is a pair of true wireless earbuds with 11 mm dynamic drivers tuned to the JBL Signature Sound profile. Adaptive noise cancelling adjusts to the surroundings automatically, and a Smart Ambient mode lets outside sound through without removing the earbuds. A slim, pill-shaped body with oval tubes and oval silicone tips is intended to fit snugly, including in smaller ears.

Battery life is rated at up to 35 hours in total: 7 hours in the earbuds and a further 28 hours from the charging case. A 15-minute quick charge adds about four hours of playback, and the case also charges wirelessly on Qi-compatible pads. Six beamforming microphones handle calls and reduce wind and background noise, and VoiceAware lets the wearer set how much of their own voice is fed back into the earbuds.

The earbuds connect over Bluetooth 5.2 and support multipoint connection, so input can be switched between two devices. They work with iOS and Android, can be controlled by touch or by voice assistants (Google Assistant on Android, Alexa), and are set up through the JBL Headphones app, which offers listening modes, ANC and ambient levels, EQ and control customisation.
