The XGen is a bus-powered desktop audio interface built around a single combo XLR/TRS input with a high-gain mic preamp (up to 65dB). It converts at up to 24-bit/192kHz and has two balanced 6.35mm TRS line outputs for monitors or other gear.
Monitoring is handled by two independent headphone outputs, one 6.35mm and one 3.5mm, so a second person can listen without a splitter. Control is limited to two knobs, one for mic gain and one for output volume, with no menus.
The interface connects over USB Type-C (USB 2.0). Its UNI OTG mode lets it work with phones and tablets as well as Mac and Windows computers without drivers being mentioned as a requirement on the spec sheet. A separate USB-C port accepts 5V external power, and a 5V/2A supply is recommended for the best sound quality. A USB Type-C cable is included.
