The F502S is a 2½-way floorstanding speaker that combines a 200mm (8") IsoFlare bass/mid driver with a 25mm magnesium dome compression tweeter at its centre. A separate 200mm bass driver adds low-frequency output. The cone is multi-fibre with a FyneFlute surround, intended to improve transient response and avoid mis-termination effects.
Low frequencies leave through a downward-firing port fitted with the BassTrax Tractrix diffuser, which spreads bass evenly through 360 degrees around the speaker. The cabinet is high-rigidity MDF with extensive internal bracing and is offered in Black Oak, Natural Walnut or Piano Gloss Black. A presence control adjusts the midrange by +/- 3dB between 2.5 and 5.0kHz to suit the room.
The speaker has an 8 ohm nominal impedance and 91dB sensitivity, and is rated for amplifiers delivering 30 to 180 watts RMS. It handles 90 watts RMS continuously. The page also lists a manual for the F500S Series.
