The Scarlett 4i4 (3rd Gen) is a desktop USB audio interface offering 4 simultaneous inputs and 4 outputs with 24-bit/192 kHz conversion. Two combo inputs combine a 3rd Generation mic preamp with switchable line or high-impedance instrument operation, and two further fixed line inputs sit alongside them. Phantom power and two pads are provided.
Air mode adds a high-frequency character modelled on Focusrite's ISA mic preamps, and Gain Halos on the front panel show input levels at a glance. Four balanced analogue outputs feed studio monitors, and a headphone output has its own level control. Loopback allows streaming and sampling, and MIDI I/O connects controllers or external hardware.
The interface connects over USB-C (USB 2.0 protocol) and is bus powered from a 900 mA port. Routing and monitor mixes are handled in Focusrite Control. It works with macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows (Intel, AMD and Arm64), and ships with Ableton Live Lite, Pro Tools Intro+, Cubase LE and the Hitmaker Expansion plugin bundle.
