The W830NB is a closed-back wireless headphone with hybrid digital active noise cancellation rated at up to -45dB, with several ANC modes to choose from. It uses 40mm dynamic drivers in separate acoustic chambers and carries Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification. Sound modes include a music mode, a low-latency game mode (0.08s) and a spatial sound algorithm for a wider stereo image.
Battery life is rated at about 94 hours with ANC off and about 54 hours with ANC on. Built-in microphones use DNN-based noise reduction to separate voice from background noise on calls. The earpads are soft and the headband is adjustable, with a lightweight body of around 267g.
The headphones connect over Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC, AAC and SBC codecs; LDAC works with Android devices only. Multipoint lets them stay paired to two devices at once, though it is off by default and is switched on in the EDIFIER ConneX app. The app also offers three preset EQs, a custom EQ, find-my-product and control settings. A USB-C audio cable allows wired listening when the battery is flat.
