The MIA-40 is a small passive column speaker built for installations where the loudspeaker should be barely noticeable. Four 0.5-inch drivers in a single-way design handle speech and background music. The column layout gives very wide horizontal coverage of 180° and a narrower vertical beam of 40° from 4 kHz to 20 kHz.
The enclosure and grille are aluminium, and the unit carries an IP44 rating, so it can be used indoors and in protected outdoor areas. It is rated for 20 W RMS (40 W program, 80 W peak) and works at 16 Ω or on a 100 V line. It is available in white (RAL9003) or black (RAL9005) and is sold in pairs per box. It is designed to be paired with the MIA-BR16 bass reinforcement unit.
Connection is through a mini PCB terminal block (Mini-Euroblock). The speaker mounts on a wall with two screws. The box includes 5 m wires, wall plugs and screws, a drilling template, a bubble level and a mini screwdriver.
